Nourri Express Ltd (“Nourri Express”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Nourri Express urban‑essentials delivery platform — covering food and restaurants, groceries, pharmacy and health essentials, and parcel delivery (including business and peer‑to‑peer sending) — through our customer app, rider app, and website (together, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — your name, phone number, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Location information— delivery addresses you save, and, with your permission, your device’s precise location. For customers this is used to find nearby restaurants and set delivery locations. For riders, we collect location while you are online or on an active delivery, including in the background, so we can match orders, navigate routes, and show customers live delivery progress. You can disable location access in your device settings, though some features will not work without it.
- Order and transaction information — the items you order, order history, delivery details, and amounts.
- Payment information — payments are processed by third‑party payment providers. We do not store your full card or mobile‑money credentials; we receive limited details (such as a confirmation and the last digits of an instrument) needed to complete and reconcile your order.
- Device and notification information — device identifiers, app version, and push‑notification tokens (for example, Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens) used to deliver order updates and alerts.
- Usage and diagnostic information — how you interact with the Services, and log data used to keep the Services secure and reliable.
- Communications — messages you send us through support, email, or our contact forms.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and provide the Services.
- To process orders, coordinate delivery, and complete payments.
- To send order updates, delivery progress, and account alerts via push notification, SMS, or email.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and to keep the Services safe.
- To comply with legal obligations.
- To improve and develop the Services.
3. How we share your information
We share personal information only as needed to operate the Services:
- Restaurants — the order details required to prepare your order.
- Delivery riders — your name, delivery address, and contact number, and live location as needed to complete the hand‑off.
- Payment providers — to process and reconcile payments.
- Service providers — vendors who help us run the Services, such as cloud hosting, mapping (Google Maps), and push messaging (Google Firebase). They may process information only on our instructions.
- Legal and safety — when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Nourri Express, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Push notifications and location
We send push notifications for order status, delivery updates, and account alerts. You can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time. Location is used to provide delivery and, for riders, live tracking; you can revoke location permission in your device settings, but core delivery features depend on it.
5. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then for the period required to meet legal, accounting, fraud‑prevention, and dispute‑resolution obligations, after which we delete or anonymize it.
6. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@nourriexpress.com.
8. Account and data deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time by emailing support@nourriexpress.com from the address associated with your account, or by using the in‑app account‑deletion option where available. We will delete your information except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or fraud‑prevention purposes.
9. Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. International users and governing law
Nourri Express Ltd is established in Cameroon. As we grow, your information may be processed in Cameroon and in other countries where we or our service providers operate, with appropriate safeguards. This Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon.
11. Third‑party links
The Services may link to third‑party sites or services we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date above. Material changes may be communicated through the Services.
